—— WOOD MOULDING GUIDE——
How to Reproduce an Existing Wood Moulding Profile
——————————
When an existing wood moulding is damaged, missing or no longer available, a matching profile can often be reproduced from an original sample, drawing or clear measurements.
This guide explains what information is needed and how the reproduction process works.
—— MATCHING EXISTING PROFILES
Can an Existing Wood Moulding Profile Be Reproduced?
Yes. Existing wood moulding profiles can be reproduced from an original sample, a profile drawing, or clear photographs with accurate measurements.
Before production, we review the profile, dimensions and visible details to determine the most suitable manufacturing method.

What Do You Need to Provide?

01—
An Existing Sample
The most accurate reference, especially for complex or decorative profiles.

02—
A Drawing or Profile Dimensions
A CAD drawing or clear profile dimensions can be used to reproduce the required shape and size.

03—
Photos and Measurements
If the moulding cannot be removed, clear photos with key measurements can be used for an initial review.

Full Production
After sample approval, we proceed with full production and arrange delivery worldwide.
—— HOW IT WORKS
What If the Original Moulding Is Damaged?
Damaged or incomplete mouldings can often be reconstructed by studying the remaining profile, dimensions and surrounding architectural details. This is particularly useful for heritage restoration projects where the original moulding is no longer available. As long as enough of the profile and key dimensions can be identified, we can rebuild the original profile and restore the missing details.

How Closely Can the New Moulding Match the Original?
We aim to reproduce the profile, dimensions and visible details as closely
as practical based on the reference provided. The new moulding will match
the original in shape and size, while natural wood grain and color may vary
slightly due to the characteristics of solid wood.
